Dr. Leah grew up in Poplar, WI and attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison for both undergraduate and veterinary training. After graduating from veterinary school, she spent a year working at a 6 doctor mixed animal practice in west central Wisconsin before returning home to open Whispering Pines.  Dr. Leah enjoys equine and small animal work. She has completed the Equine Veterinary Medical Manipulation certification at the Chi Institute in Florida and is also a BEMER dealer.

Anna Beam-Mitchell, DVM

Dr. Anna is from North Carolina, where she attended NC State College of Veterinary Medicine. She now lives in Duluth, MN with her husband and his sister, as well as their two cats. After graduating in 2022, Dr. Anna moved to Duluth, MN to work for USDA FSIS, and then USDA APHIS. With USDA, she examined livestock entering the food supply and facilitated international trade of poultry products. Dr. Anna left USDA earlier this year and began working with Whispering Pines, where she is thrilled to take on new patients large and small. Dr. Anna loves working with horses, dogs and cats, and farm animals including goats, sheep, and cattle.

In addition to the veterinarians, you may also meet a variety of externs, veterinary assistants and certified veterinary technicians that assist in all aspects of our interactions with you.
